Preoperative preparation for labiaplasty, perineoplasty & vaginoplasty

No smoking for 3-4 weeks prior to and 3-4 weeks after surgery

No cardioaspirin for two weeks prior to surgery. Paracetamol is OK.

You will need home rest and appropriate help around the house for 3-7 days after surgery

Prior to surgery, wash the entire genital area and trim pubic hair short. (Please use scissors or an electric razor. DO NOT shave or wax pubic hair 1 week prior to surgery)

Wear loose fitting/comfortable dark clothes at the day of surgery. (No jewelry please)

For outpatient Vaginoplasty/Perineoplasty only – start taking prescribed antibiotics two days before the procedure and continue the course up until two days after.

If you have a history of recurrent Herpes, make sure to inform your doctor beforehand.
