Obstetrics & Prenatal Care
Prenatal care, also known as antenatal care. The goal of prenatal care is not only to provide the best care for the pregnant woman and the unborn child, but also to prepare the mother to be for the delivery of a healthy baby. Getting early and regular prenatal care is one of the best ways for a woman to promote a healthy pregnancy.
During pregnancy, routine prenatal checkups occur at regular interval. Their frequency typically varies depending on the stage of the pregnancy:
Once each month from week 4 to week 28
Twice a month from week 28 to week 36
Weekly from week 36 to delivery
